It&#8217;s a great opportunity to help the WordPress community by sharing your knowledge and love of WordPress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Deadline for speaker submissions is July 31st.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">It&#8217;s 2020 &#8211; Home Sweet Home!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Our theme is <strong>Home Sweet Home<\/strong>. It&#8217;s not required to have the theme as part of your presentation, but we&#8217;d love to challenge you to include it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Session Topics<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We look to have a diverse lineup of speakers and sessions that focuses on all aspects of the WordPress Community. We&#8217;ll be spreading speaker talks across beginner, intermediate, and advanced topics and are most interested in talks that are new and unique with real-world examples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are a few ideas for topics we&#8217;d love to see, or that have been requested by the community (but get creative, we&#8217;re open to anything WordPress):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>User Experience Front End<\/li><li>User Experience for website content managers<\/li><li>Style guides\/branding<\/li><li>Gutenberg for Developers<\/li><li>Gutenberg for Users<\/li><li>Balancing Design and Content<\/li><li>Working with Images &#8211; Optimization<\/li><li>Illustration\/Type<\/li><li>Effective Marketing Strategy<\/li><li>Podcasts &amp; Video<\/li><li>Google Analytics and Search Console<\/li><li>Social media and WordPress<\/li><li>Common plugins and themes focus (i.e. Woocommerce, Divi)<\/li><li>Workshops &#8211; longer form training sessions (2-3 hours)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Session Formats<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-background-color has-text-color has-background has-small-font-size\" style=\"line-height:1.3;background-color:#104d82\"><strong>LECTURES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>In-depth narrower topics or overview of broader topics<\/li><li>45 min. talks<\/li><li>10-15 min. for Q&amp;A<\/li><li>Slides welcome<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-background-color has-text-color has-background has-small-font-size\" style=\"line-height:1.3;background-color:#104d82\"><strong>PANELS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>45 min. talks<\/li><li>10-15 min. for Q&amp;A<\/li><li>1 moderator + 2-3 panelists<\/li><li>No slides<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-background-color has-text-color has-background has-small-font-size\" style=\"line-height:1.3;background-color:#104d82\"><strong>LIGHTNING TALKS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>15 min. talks<\/li><li>No Q&amp;A, but option to meet audience afterwards in a different &#8216;room&#8217;<\/li><li>No slides<\/li><li>Great opportunity to practice public speaking in a smaller time block or to discuss more niche topics that don&#8217;t merit a full session<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-background-color has-text-color has-background has-small-font-size\" style=\"line-height:1.3;background-color:#104d82\"><strong>WORKSHOPS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>2-3 hours<\/li><li>Q&amp;A at predetermined intervals<\/li><li>May also have a moderated chat for ongoing Q&amp;A<\/li><li>More interactive and in-depth format with audience participation<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Details<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>All sessions will be recorded. You will need to sign and return the A\/V form prior to speaking.<\/li><li>We encourage multiple submissions from the same speaker. If you have more than one idea, go ahead and submit multiple topics, and we&#8217;ll get back to you about&nbsp;which one we think fits&nbsp;best with the final schedule. You&#8217;ll need to submit a form for each presentation idea.
