Parking

Parking is free and requires that you register for a parking pass that covers you for the entire weekend (registration link will be emailed to attendees). You may park in lots P20-23 on Founder’s Drive off of W.T. Weaver Blvd. Please do not park on the main campus unless using handicapped parking. See map below and click to make it larger.

By Car
UNC-Asheville is located on the north side of Asheville and is convenient to I-240. Plug in your starting directions here.

By Plane
Direct flights are available to Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) from Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Punta Gorda, Orlando, Tampa and West Palm Beach. Visit flyavl.com for more information and to search flights.

A special thanks to all the sponsors, speakers and attendees who are traveling to participate in our second WordCamp!

Last year we discovered that very few of you used the block of rooms we were able to arrange near the venue. This was for many reasons, but they all boiled down to you’re a tech savvy group and know how to get the best bargains on your own that far surpassed what we were able to get. Many of you bypassed the hotels and went with small bed & breakfast venues for a unique Asheville experience.

So we’re trusting that you will once again make your own hotel choices. We recommend you check out exploreasheville.com or unca.edu/accomodations for suggestions. Hotels located on the perimeter of town offer considerably lower rates than staying in downtown Asheville.
