WordCamp is almost here!

We’re so excited about our first year and hope you’re eager to learn. Here are some logistics & details about your arrival:

Not sure where to go on Saturday? The BASE (A-B Tech Enka) is located at 1459 Sandhill Road, Candler, NC, about 15 minutes west of downtown Asheville. After parking, please enter the main entrance of the Haynes Building (look for the big WordCamp banner!). Location Details »

Registration – 8am Saturday

Proceed upstairs to the second floor of the Haynes building and hang a left. Ahead of you in the Small Conference Room is registration where you’ll pick up your Name Badge, T-Shirt, and other goodies!

Keynote – 9am Saturday

Our keynote talk by Judi Knight will begin at 9am. Make sure you leave enough time to get registered so you’re able to hear her inspiring journey with WordPress. Following the Keynote are announcements, and then sessions will begin!

binocsAny Track, Any Session

You are able to attend any session in any track, but be aware space is tight in some rooms and you should still arrive promptly before each session to ensure a spot. Because of space limitations, please travel light. You may not have a table/surface to place your laptop on.

After Party!

Following each day’s sessions will be a casual gathering at The Wedge in the River Arts District. Bring your Name Badge to get your first beer free! The Wedge is frequented by food trucks so you may be able to get a snack or dinner here as well.

You can see the schedule, speakers, and get the notifications, so it’s a bit more robust than using the website.

pack     Don’t Forget…

  • Wear your name badge at all times.
  • If you bring a laptop, charge it before you arrive. Don’t count on an outlet or power strip to always be available, and you may not always have a table to set it on.
  • Bring your business cards.
  • Bring a sweater in case the air conditioning goes into overdrive!
